    Find And Replace 9.00k (5,458,432 bytes, 3/25/11)
File name repl9.exe. A self-extracting zip file containing replace9.mde, replace9x64.mde, replace9.hlp, replace9.pdf, readme.txt. If your browser can't handle an exe file, try this zip file: repl9.zip.   See the readme.txt file for installation notes.  Note, if you are using 64 bit Access SP1 you will need a different file (MS made a change in SP1 that made the 64 bit mde files incompatible): 64BitSP1 Version.

With Windows Vista, Windows 7, and Windows 2008 Microsoft does not include the WinHelp32 help program.  You must install it yourself to be able to read the help file.  See http://support.microsoft.com/kb/917607.  Also, files downloaded from the internet will get tagged with an alternate data stream (in the file system; the Zone.Identifier stream) identifying it as from an external source (and therefore not trusted).  The files you extract (via explorer) from a zip file from the internet will have this set also.  The help file cannot be opened until you right click the file, select properties and on the General tab you should click the UNBLOCK button (if the button isn't there it isn't a problem).  This is also the same reason you will get a warning message when opening the replace9.mde file.  If you do the same for this file (UNBLOCK it) it will eliminate this warning.

    Find and Replace 8.0

    Find And Replace 8.01r (1,450,496 bytes, 02/16/07)
File name repl8.exe. A self-extracting zip file containing replace8.mde, replace8.hlp, readme.txt. If your browser can't handle an exe file (or an ftp transfer), try this zip file via http: repl8.zip. Or you could try an alternate site (but it may have an older version since there is approximately a one month release cycle for this site): repl8.zip. Please note that this is a free upgrade for registered version 7.0 users (use your version 7.0 registration code).

    Microsoft Links

Microsoft Access 2 Service Pack (Jet 2.5)
Check your msajt200.dll file in the \Windows\system directory. Look at the file properties, version tab, if your version is not at least 2.50.1606 then you need this update.
Note that Microsoft has released more than one version of this service pack. The original release was quietly replaced with a newer version containing newer DLLs. (You'd think they would have released a new service pack). So you might think you have the correct service pack, but the only way to tell is to check the version of the msajt200.dll file.

    Microsoft Access 2.0 2-digit date patch (12/19/99)
This is a link to the support note which has a link to the file Acc2Date.exe; read the support note for installation instructions. This patch was originally released 5/11/99 and updated 3 times more before the current release to fix several problems (so if you got the patch before then make sure to get it again). The Acc2Date.exe file contains three updated files that modify the way Microsoft Access 2.0 interprets two-digit years. By default, Access 2.0 interprets all dates that are entered by the user or imported from a text file to fall within the 1900s. After applying the updated files, Access 2.0 will treat two-digit years that the user enters based on a 100 year sliding date range and two-digit years that are imported from text based on a fixed date range.
(If file Msabc200.dll is version 2.03 and msajt200.dll is 2.50.2825 you have this patch.)

    Microsoft Access 95 (7.0) vba232.dll update (3/8/96)
Fixes invalid page faults - an absolute must
Check your vba232.dll file in the \Windows\system directory (or \Winnt\System32). Look at the file properties, version tab, if your version is not at least 2.0.6108 then you need this update. For more info see
    Q147529 and Q141222

Microsoft Access 95 (7.0) Jet DLL Updates (4/26/99)
Points to a Microsoft knowledge base article which in turn has a link to the file with the DLLs.
Originally released 1/17/97, updated 3/24/99, then updated 4/26/99. Check your Msjt3032.dll file in the \Windows\system directory (or \Winnt\System32). Look at the file properties, version tab, if your version is not at least
3.000.5226 then you need this update. The update file containing the DLLs is msjtwng.exe. Note that Microsoft has issued earlier updates to these dlls with the same file name (msjtwng.exe). They have updated the DLL's at various times and just updated the msjtwng.exe file without saying it was different (this is the same thing that happened with the Access 2 Service pack of which there are at least 2 versions).

    Office 95 Year 2000 Update (6/8/99)

    Microsoft Access 97 (8.0) Jet 3.51 Service pack 3 update (9/30/99)
Points to a Microsoft knowledge base article which in turn has a link to the file.
Note that the Service pack 3 update (JetSP3.exe) has been updated since it's original release. Service pack 3 supercedes the original Jet 3.51 update (which was originally released 8/27/97 as file jet35upd.exe with improved compact and repair function and other fixes, then updated on 9/1/98 to include fix for bookmark bug as well as other fixes) and supercedes the Jet 3.51 Service pack 2 update (which fixed a problem with attachments to read-only databases among other things). Service pack 3 adds security patches as described in this Microsoft security bulletin.
Check your msjet35.dll file in the \Windows\system directory (or \Winnt\System32). Look at the file properties, version tab, if your version is not at least
3.51.3328.0 then you don't have this update. If your version is earlier than 3.51.0623 then Microsoft says you must install the Office 97 SR-2 update first (which requires that you install the SR-1 update first). The Microsoft app note on the SP-3 release is Q172733 (but the app notes referenced there aren't the only fixes; for example see Q177620).
Note: Office 97 SR-2 is now Office 97 SR-2b and it includes the Jet 3.51 SP3 update

Microsoft Access 2000/2002 (9.0/10.0) Jet 4.0 Service pack update (10/7/03)
Points to a Microsoft knowledge base article which in turn has a link to the files.
The Jet40SP8 files (there is one for Windows NT/95/98, one for Windows 2000, one for Windows ME, one for Windows XP, and one for Windows 2003) contain an update of several .dll files that are included with Microsoft Access 2000 and other products that incorporate Microsoft Jet database engine 4.x. Check your msjet40.dll file in the \Windows\system directory (or \Winnt\System32). Look at the file properties, version tab, if your version is not at least
4.00.8015.0 then you don't have this update.

    Jet Compact Utility (8/11/99)
Points to a Microsoft knowledge base article which in turn has a link to the files.
The Jet compact utility, JETCOMP.exe, is a stand-alone utility that compacts databases created with Microsoft Jet database engine 3.x and 4.x. This utility may be run in conjunction with Microsoft Jet database engine 3.x and 4.x for recovering corrupted databases. Although you can run the Microsoft Access Compact utility or the CompactDatabase method with Microsoft Jet database engine 3.x and 4.x, Jetcomp.exe may be able to recover some databases that these utilities cannot.
